Ex-Northglenn HS teacher arrested in sex assault investigation

THORNTON, Colo. – A former teacher at Northglenn High School was arrested Monday for investigation on charges of sex assault on a child and others, court records show.

Aaron Link, 37, was booked into the Adams County jail after his arrest, and made his first court appearance Tuesday morning.

Court records show Link was arrested for investigation on charges of sex assault on a child; sex assault on a child by a person in a position of trust; and aggravated incest. All three are felonies.

A staff directory at Northglenn High School showed Link was a career and technical education teacher at the school. Adams 12 Five Star Schools confirmed Link was a teacher, but said he submitted his resignation Monday.

District spokesperson Joe Ferdani said the district became aware of the charges Tuesday morning, and said the charges were not related to the school and Link’s employment as a teacher.

Ferdani said Link had been with the school since August 2015.

Court records show Link is being held without bond on the sex assault charge, though the district attorney’s office has not confirmed the investigation. His next court appearance is set for Thursday afternoon.

Court records show Link is being represented by a public defender. Attempts to reach the public defender’s office Tuesday afternoon were not successful.
